The Porsche 911 Targa has always occupied a distinctive place in the 911 range, with its signature roll-over bar and intricate retractable roof offering a sense of occasion unlike any other body style. For the 992 generation, Porsche chose the Targa 4S as the foundation for its first Heritage Design Edition, drawing inspiration from the colours, materials and motorsport heritage of the 1950s and early 1960s. Limited to just 992 examples worldwide, it combines historically inspired details, including classic Porsche crests, gold badging and corduroy upholstery, with the 444 bhp twin-turbocharged flat-six and modern engineering of the Targa 4S. Finished in Cherry Metallic, this particular car features the signature colour developed for the Heritage Design Edition, inspired by the rich red shades found on early Porsche sports cars. Its Personal Start Number adds individuality to the period-inspired motorsport graphics, while the SportDesign Front Apron and Sports Exhaust System introduce a more purposeful sporting character. Inside, Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with 18-way electric adjustment and the BOSE Surround Sound System provide additional comfort and refinement, contrasting the distinctive Heritage Design interior. The appeal of a Heritage Design Edition lies in its ability to celebrate Porsche's past without sacrificing the performance and sophistication of a modern 911. Its numbered production, carefully considered historical details and unmistakable Targa silhouette give it a character quite unlike the rest of the 992 range. With its evocative Cherry Metallic finish and well-chosen factory options, this example captures the spirit of the Heritage Design concept particularly well, offering an attractive combination of exclusivity, nostalgia and contemporary driving enjoyment.
