Seller's description
This 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 is one we've been incredibly excited to launch. Finished in Carrara White with the full White Gold (Weiss) decal package running through the car, this is, in our opinion, one of the most visually striking specifications we've seen - and having handled a good number of these over the years, we don't say that lightly. To understand why this particular car matters, you have to understand where it sits in Porsche's history. The 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 represents one of the final, most developed expression of the naturally aspirated, manual-only 911 GT3 RS before Porsche moved toward PDK transmissions and, eventually, forced induction across the wider GT range. It's a car built at a point where Porsche's motorsport department had refined the formula about as far as it could go without changing the fundamental recipe - a high-revving flat-six, a proper manual gearbox, and a chassis tuned with almost no compromise toward comfort. For drivers who care about that connection between hand, foot, and machine, this era of GT3 RS is often cited as the sweet spot, and cars in this configuration are only becoming harder to source as manual examples steadily disappear from the market. This particular example presents with 14,215 miles on the clock, which for a car of this type and age is a low figure, and it shows. The service history is comprehensive, split between Porsche OPCs and highly regarded independent specialists, and it's accompanied by full supporting paperwork along with valid MOT documentation - exactly the kind of provenance a car at this level should carry, and exactly what serious collectors will want to see. The specification is where this car really comes into its own. PCCB carbon ceramic brakes provide the stopping power to match the performance, while the front axle lift system is a genuinely useful, often overlooked feature that makes the car far more usable day to day than its track-focused reputation might suggest. Inside, you'll find carbon fibre trim and door sills throughout, a black fabric interior that keeps things purposeful and lightweight in true RS fashion, and Porsche Communication Management fitted as standard. The car is further protected by full paint protection film, meaning it's been cared for with real intention. Put simply, this is a combination of specification, condition, mileage, and history that doesn't come along often. Cars like this tend not to stay on the market for long, and we'd encourage anyone with a genuine interest in the 997 GT3 RS story to view this one in person. Available now at Premier GT.
