Based on the already formidable GT2, the RS combined a twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre flat-six producing 620 PS with a six-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. Porsche quoted 0–62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 205 mph. Weight was reduced by approximately 70kg compared with the standard GT2 through the extensive use of carbon fibre and other lightweight components, while the chassis, aerodynamics and braking systems were further developed for the RS. Production was strictly limited to just 500 examples worldwide, establishing the GT2 RS as one of the rarest and most desirable road-going 911s of the modern era.
