Seller's description

Porsche Boxster S 3. 2 (987. 1) – 2005 – Guards Red – Manual – 73, 300 miles Guards Red | Black leather | 6-speed manual | Full service history | Carnewal GT exhaust | Porsche short shift kit I'm selling my 2005 Porsche Boxster S 3. 2, finished in Guards Red with a black hood and black leather interior. Currently showing approximately 73, 300 miles. This is a UK-supplied [registration removed], first registered on 18 June 2005, with the 280bhp 3. 2-litre flat-six engine and six-speed manual gearbox. The car is in excellent condition for its age, with original exterior styling and paintwork that presents extremely well. It sits on genuine 19-inch Porsche Carrera S alloys, retains its factory standard suspension and has not been lowered or extensively modified. One of the main reasons I bought this particular example was its history and overall condition. It has an extensive service file covering nearly 20 years, including work carried out by Porsche main dealers and respected independent specialists. The history includes the original service book, supporting invoices and records of maintenance carried out throughout its life. Being the 3. 2 its does not have the bore score issues that (some) 3. 4's experience and is in the lower tax bracket. Service history and maintenance The car has been maintained by a combination of Porsche Centres and independent specialists, including Porsche Cambridge, Sheffield, Dove House and Zuffenhaus. Some of the more recent documented work includes: * September 2025 – service and vehicle health check at Zuffenhaus Porsche Specialist, 68, 018 miles. * June 2025 – engine oil and filter service, air filter and manual gearbox oil replaced. * August 2024 – air/ oil separator replaced. * July 2024 – engine oil service, front suspension top mounts, bump stops and gaiters replaced. * July 2023 – major service and brake fluid replacement at Dove House. * 2022 – replacement starter motor and both rear suspension springs. The earlier history also documents cooling-system maintenance, suspension repairs, brake work and regular servicing. There are invoices for many of the jobs rather than just stamps in the service book. Upgrades during my ownership I've made a few carefully selected changes to improve the driving experience while keeping the car close to its original specification. * Carnewal GT exhaust – fitted in June 2026 at Carnewal in Belgium A modified genuine Porsche exhaust which gives the flat-six a much better sound without going down the route of an aftermarket exhaust system with no drone * Genuine Porsche short shift kit – fitted in June 2026. A worthwhile improvement to the six-speed manual gearbox, giving a shorter and more positive gear change. * Genuine Porsche Sports tailpipes – fitted with the Carnewal exhaust. * Genuine Porsche sport steering wheel recently re-trimmed in Alcantara The changes are relatively subtle, but they make a noticeable difference to how the car sounds and drives. Factory specification The car has a good factory specification, including: * 19-inch Carrera S alloy wheels * Heated leather seats * Porsche crests embossed into the headrests * Porsche Sound Package Plus * Climate control * Porsche Stability Management (PSM) * White instrument dials * Wind deflector * Top-tinted windscreen * Heated glass rear window * Porsche floor mats with leather edging Condition and ownership The Guards Red paintwork presents very well, the exterior is original in appearance, and the black hood complements the colour nicely. The car has clearly been looked after throughout its life, and this is reflected in both its condition and the amount of accompanying paperwork. Mechanically, I've focused on maintaining the car properly and making improvements that add to the driving experience rather than chasing more power or making unnecessary cosmetic changes. The 3. 2-litre engine is a great match for the 987 chassis, and with the manual gearbox, short shifter and Carnewal exhaust, it's a particularly enjoyable car to drive. It's a car I've genuinely enjoyed owning, having taken it to many Porsche events, Goodwood and Bicester Scramble, and I'm only selling because I've purchased a Porsche 911 and just don't have the space to keep both There is a substantial history file available to inspect, and I'm happy to discuss the car and the work that's been carried out with anyone genuinely interested. MOT 12 Months: just MOT'd and passed with no advisories as per all other MOT's going back years Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire. Price: £12, 495
