It was subsequently upgraded to Evo spec by Roock Racing who then ran the car in the FIA GT Championship from 1997 until 1999. It retired from racing in 2000 and was sold to a UK Porsche collector in 2006 who later commissioned a full restoration which was completed in 2016. It has been unused since. With a fantastic race history including the Le Mans 24hr, this 'collectors grade' factory-built GT2 R would suit a discerning Porsche collector and would also be a welcome entry in the Endurance Racing Legends series run by Peter Auto.
