I bought this 944 S2 privately around ten years ago from a Porsche club member and enthusiast. It was my daily driver and was serviced regularly at Tech 9 in Liverpool until I laid it up in a garage around 2020. SEPTEMBER 2026 - CAMBRIAN CLASSICS, WEST WALES - Fresh MOT, passed 25 September 2026, valid to 24 September 2027. One advisory: corrosion to the boot floor, with structural rigidity not significantly reduced. - Oil and filter service; air and fuel filters checked and found new - Coolant leak at lower radiator hose fixed; fresh antifreeze - Brake pipes: offside front pipe (2025 MOT advisory) and the front-to-rear joint repaired, all brakes bled with fresh fluid - Electric window switches stripped, cleaned and repaired; all windows now work from both switches - Exhaust tip re-welded - Two new Kumho front tyres to match the rears - New sun visor clips; side light contacts repaired - Valeted, including carpets and seats JUNE 2025 - UNIT ELEVEN PORSCHE, WARRINGTON (approx. £2, 500) - Major service with timing and balance shaft belts - New alternator and power steering belts, plus four new pulleys - New brake discs and pads, front and rear, with new wear sensors - New distributor cap, rotor arm and HT leads - New battery and wheel nuts - MOT HISTORY Large history file with invoices from Tech 9 (Liverpool), Unit Eleven (Warrington) and Cambrian Classics. V5C present. EQUIPMENT AND ORIGINALITY - All electrics work: electric sunroof, electric seats and electric windows - Original Porsche Design 90 alloy wheels - Dashboard uncracked - Cream leather interior - Aftermarket stereo WORK NEEDED - Rust: the underbody has surface rust throughout and needs treating and Waxoyling. There are also holes in the rear tyre tub/ boot floor and the bottom of the driver's side wing, which will need welding repair. The boot floor corrosion is noted as an advisory on the September 2026 MOT. - Odometer: reads 163, 022 and appears to have stopped working after June 2025. MOT history shows 162, 937 in 2019 and 163, 022 in 2025, and the car has been used very little since, so actual mileage is close to the displayed figure. - Shock absorbers due for replacement - Wheels need refurbishing - Brake calipers need reconditioning - Headlining starting to sag; the cream leather shows expected wear on the driver's seat bolster, and the interior would benefit from some TLC The car is in Ceredigion, West Wales. The 944 S2 is the best of the 944 line: a 3. 0-litre 16-valve engine, one of the largest four-cylinder engines ever put in a production car, with the transaxle layout giving it superb balance. It's a proper driver's car that's also comfortable enough to use every day, and I did exactly that for years. Mine has never let me down. Gunmetal Grey with cream leather is a classic period combination, and the car still looks great, with straight panels, paint that shows well for its age, its original Design 90 wheels and an uncracked dashboard, which is rare on a 944. All the electrics work, including the sunroof and electric seats. Mechanically it's in good shape after the work in 2025 and 2026, with belts, brakes, ignition and a fresh MOT all done. What it needs now is someone to take on the bodywork. I'd love it to go to an enthusiast who will sort the rust, enjoy driving it and give it the TLC it deserves.
