Seller's description
A highly desirable 1986 model-year Porsche 911 930 Turbo, representing one of the most iconic and recognisable performance cars of the 1970s and 1980s. Revered for its pioneering turbocharged performance, aggressive styling and motorsport-derived engineering, the 930 Turbo remains a defining model in Porsche history. Powered by the 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six engine with air-to-air intercooling, the 930 Turbo produces approximately 300bhp and 304lb ft of torque, delivered through a 4-speed manual transmission. Performance figures remain impressive today, with 0–60mph achieved in around 5.4 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 14 seconds, and a top speed of approximately 160mph. This example benefits from the highly desirable Special Wishes programme, featuring a rare two-tone leather interior with heated seats that are electrically operated to provide maximum driver support. It was supplied by JCT600 of Leeds and finished in Iris Blue Metallic, a distinctive and elegant colour combination that enhances its period character. Registered on 1st November 1985, this 930 Turbo has had just five UK owners from new. It was acquired by the fourth owner in 1997 at approximately 43,000 miles and has since been carefully maintained over 27 years of long-term ownership by a mechanical engineer, with regular servicing and preventative maintenance carried out alongside specialist work. Significant works include attention to the B-post and kidney bowls by Racing Restorations, a bare metal respray, K27 turbo upgrade, gearbox rebuild, stainless steel heat exchangers, oil lines, and a full brake overhaul with new pistons and seals carried out by Pro Calipers. The current owner carried out a full service and remedial work in June 2025 totalling £4,500 by Porsche specialists. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a well-sorted and original 930 Turbo, combining iconic styling, desirable specification, long-term enthusiast ownership, and significant mechanical investment, making it one of the more usable and carefully maintained examples available.
