Seller's description

Highlights UK market right-hand-drive example in ultra-rare factory-correct Glacier Blue Very high specification Sport model, complete with factory-fitted sunroof and Sport seats 16-inch polished Speedline Mistral alloy wheels Bilstein suspension Handsome blue interior with light piping on leather seats Well-documented history with a significant paperwork file Private registration included in sale MOT/road tax exempt The Appeal Every once in a while, a car comes along that ticks all the right boxes. This is one of them. '80s 911s were well-built and enjoy a good survival rate as a result, but few can boast such an enviable original specification as this SC from 1983. Factory-specified in the rare and oh-so fetching Glacier Blue, this highly-optioned car is believed by the vendor to be the coveted Sport model, complete with a Porsche-fitted sunroof. Many consider the SC the best of the air-cooled 911s, offering ample usable performance and greater reliability from its 3.0-litre, fuel-injected aluminium ‘boxer’ engine than its predecessors. It was a huge success, helping to ensure that the 911 lived on far longer than envisaged by Porsche itself at a time when the Stuttgart manufacturer was experimenting with front-engined, water-cooled GTs. The seller states that they have owned this distinctive UK market RHD example since 2002, and that it has always been stored in a garage and only driven in the dry since then. During their ownership, the car has been resprayed in its original Glacier Blue (L32Z) and fitted with a larger rear spoiler and polished Speedline Mistral 16-inch split-rim alloy wheels. Other stated work includes a replacement Sekurit windscreen; an engine top-end rebuild and gearbox rebuild by Redline Racing; a new clutch and flywheel; a stainless steel exhaust; stainless steel heat exchangers and hydraulic tensioners; and a rebuilt and rebuilt rear suspension with new rear wheel bearings and replacement calipers all round. Inside, the blue leather interior includes light blue piping to complement the exterior colour, and features ‘911’ treadplates. This striking car awaits its next custodian. image.png 1.53 MB Key Information Mileage: 131,466 miles (indicated) Country of registration: United Kingdom Technical inspection status: MOT/road tax exempt Technical specs: 2,993cc 204 bhp flat-6 ‘boxer’ petrol, 5-speed manual Paperwork: extensive history file with V5C, service record and receipts/invoices, original service book with stamps to 2002 image.png 1.32 MB The Detail UK RHD 1983 Porsche 911 SC in ultra-rare factory-correct Glacier Blue Factory sunroof Believed to be a factory Sport model, per the vendor Bilstein suspension fitted Service book with stamps to 2002 Previous MOT certificates Speedline ‘Mistral’ alloy wheels with Porsche centre caps Headlight washers Private registration included in sale Includes new (reportedly unused) front alloy wheel and rear alloy wheel Stated work includes: Respray involving removal of glass and panels including wings, doors and bonnet Replacement Sekurit windscreen Engine top-end rebuild at 127,794 miles Gearbox rebuild New clutch and flywheel Stainless steel exhaust Stainless steel heat exchangers New hydraulic tensioners Rebuilt and shot-blasted rear suspension New bellows, gaskets and seals image.png 1.16 MB BEFORE YOU BUY This sale is subject to the Car & Classic Terms and Conditions .
